Guernsey Flowers and Valentine’s Day Post & Go stamps to launch at Stampex

Guernsey Post will launch new Post & Go designs depicting some of the flowers found in the Bailiwick of Guernsey, along with Guernsey flag stamp strips with a Valentine’s Day message, at the spring edition of Stampex (14-17 February).

The Bailiwick Flowers stamps, which will vend from Guernsey Post’s exhibition kiosk (GG01 series), feature the Guernsey Lily (Nerine sarniensis); the Floral Guernsey Daffodil; the tiny Dwarf Pansy (Viola kitaibeliana); the miniature Sand Crocus (Romulea columnae), the dandelion-like Shaggy Mouse-Ear Hawkweed (Pilosella peleteriana); and, the Bog Pimpernel (Anagallis tenella).

The philatelic bureau’s GG01 kiosk will also vend Guernsey flag stamps with an overprint message and heart design, which will read: -

“From Me to You Spring Stampex 2018”

Said Bridget Yabsley, head of philatelic at Guernsey Post: - “The Bailiwick of Guernsey has an array of unspoilt, stunning scenery, with a natural landscape that features many beautiful wild flowers.  We are delighted to depict some of the rare flowers, which can be found in the Bailiwick. We’re also pleased to be able to celebrate Valentine’s Day with a special overprint message depicted on our Guernsey flag stamps.”

The new Bailiwick Flowers Post & Go stamps will also be available from Guernsey’s Post’s Head Office, Envoy House, (GG02 kiosk) from 14th February, whilst ‘B Series’ strips for both the Bailiwick Flowers and the Guernsey Flag Stampex Valentines overprint will be available from the Bureau by visiting www.guernseystamps.com or contacting Philatelic customer services on +44 (0) 1481 716486.
